The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre

As Australia's largest and premier venue for conferences, exhibitions and special events, the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre has played host to some of the world's top companies and international associations.

More than 600 events are held each year at the Centre, which features 30 meeting rooms and 30,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Asian Art

Works of Asian art in the national collection range from Neolithic and early Metal Age ceramics from Iran, Japan, Thailand and China, to installations created in the last decade by Thailand's Montien Boonma, Wenda Gu, a Chinese artist based in New York, and Yukinori Yanagi from Japan.

 

NAB Sculpture Gallery

The new National Australia Bank Sculpture Gallery, the only gallery dedicated entirely to sculpture in an Australian art institution, is now open at the National Gallery of Australia.

 

International Gallery

The International Art collection is essentially modern; the representation of European and American art parallels the recorded history of Australian art over the past 200 years and finds its strength in the 20th century.

Xenian's recent appointment as the Litelab (US) Australasian Distributor cements their involvement with the complete upgrade and new extension for the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra.

National Portrait Gallery

The new National Portrait Gallery building, situated on King Edward Terrace, Parkes, Canberra, bounded by the High Court of Australia and the National Gallery of Australia, displays some 400 portraits of people who have shaped Australia and who continue to shape our nation.

The most significant building to be constructed in the Parliamentary precinct for over twenty years, the new National Portrait Gallery opened to the public on the 4 December 2008 with a series of vibrant exhibitions, lectures, education programs and events.

University of Technology Sydney - Building 2 Atrium Space

Students spend their lives balancing a lively social life and intensive studies that will form the basis for their careers. The spaces students work in need to be adequately lit, but why not add an element of fun to reflect the creative minds poring over the mighty tomes? Lumi-Pops offers a practical and attractive alternative. This permanent lighting installation in the Building 2 Atrium Space is part of the “art light – University of Technology Sydney Exhibition” at the university itself.

Sydney Conservatorium of Music

The spirit of great music lives in Sydney, in every room and stage at the Conservatorium of Music. The Recital Hall seats 116 and is used for lectures and seminars, masterclasses with visiting artists and public recitals given by Conservatorium staff and students as part of the Conservatorium Concert Program.

The Mint

The Mint was transferred to the Historic Houses Trust in 1998 and the Macquarie Street building is open to the public containing a small display on the history of the site, a cafe, meeting rooms and facilities for the Members of the Historic Houses Trust.

Following a major redevelopment, the Coining Factory now houses the Trust's head office and the important Caroline Simpson Library & Research Collection.

State Library NSW

The State Library of New South Wales, which includes the Mitchell Library, is the major public reference and information service for the people of NSW.

Redfern Oval

The $20 million revamped inner-city ground looks wonderful - complete with a state-of-the-art playing surface, gymnasium, physio and rehab room, ice baths, 36 lockers, kitchen, theatrette, history boards, conference room and a cafe.

KAUST 'Breakwater Beacon'

King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. ‘Breakwater Beacon’ – a 60-metre-tall tower overlooking the Safaa Harbour and the Red Sea.

A feat of engineering, the tower is part of an international arts program curated by Urban Art Projects’ (UAP). Designed by UAP Principal, Daniel Tobin the Beacon is a “contemporary interpretation of a lighthouse” with a intricate construction made up of ‘amorphous hexagonal’ pre-cast concrete blocks.

Webb Bridge

The artfully entwined structure of Webb Bridge inspires many possible associations: from snake to sea shells or fishing net to boomerang. The new landmark at Melbourne Docklands works as a link across the Yarra River as well as a meeting point and a pleasant place to be.

Conceived as a mixture of art and infrastructure, the conversion of the old Webb Dock Rail Bridge into the new pedestrian link was delivered under a local requirement for developers to contribute to public art.

Angel Place

Unique in design and location, City Recital Hall Angel Place has earned a place in Sydney's history. This world class performance space is the first specially designed concert venue to be built in Sydney since the Opera House in 1973 and its opening had musicians and audiences throughout Sydney applauding.

House of the Future

This innovative public exhibition showcased sustainable design excellence and environmental innovations in 6 Houses made from clay, concrete, timber, steel, cardboard, and glass and 2 creative responses that showcase sustainable gardens.

Blacktown Library

Covering just over 5000 square metres in size, the new two-storey library facility offers all lending services on the ground floor including reference, local studies, family history and a technology centre. On the first floor, along with library administration and workrooms is a substantial multi-function space that allows the library to deliver a program of lectures, seminars and social/cultural events.

Heide Museum of Modern Art

Heide Museum of Modern Art is one of Australia’s leading public art museums within a unique environment of art and design, architecture and landscape.

The Heide site comprises 16 acres of buildings, gardens and sculpture park presenting a dramatic combination of indoor and outdoor spaces. Glowing spheres were added to the lawn to complement the Inge King sculpture, Rings of Saturn.

 Xenian have provided SKYCITY Darwin with Color Kinetics, iColor Flex SL to create a unique, cost effective Lightwall. Each of the 5000x RGB LED nodes are set on a matrix to backlight Marblo panels.

The exciting effects to greet arriving clients include various whites, block colours, text, special effects, and Flash stills/movies. Control is by Color Kinetics Light System Manager allowing SKYCITY Darwin easy to use, push button or timed presets.

There is also a ceiling recessed radial Lightsculpture using Color Kinetics iColor Cove EC and controlled in sync with the Lightwall. These 2 fantastic elements link the Porte Cochere, Main Gaming and Hospitality areas.

Westpac Place

One of the latest additions to the gleaming skyline of Sydney’s central business district (CBD) is Westpac Place, the new head office for the Westpac Banking Corporation.

That it is there at all is down to an ingenious architectural and engineering scheme that has fused 10 previously disparate buildings and a car park covering a city block into one of Sydney’s most prestigious commercial addresses while preserving a part of the city’s heritage.
